Day 1: Arrival in Baltra. Discover Black Turtle Cove.

ARRIVAL IN BALTRA - AM

Begin your adventure in the enchanting Galapagos Islands with your arrival at Baltra Airport, where a National Park-certified naturalist guide will welcome you. From the very start, you will encounter the incredible biodiversity and unique landscapes that make this archipelago one of the most captivating destinations worldwide.

BLACK TURTLE COVE – PM

Our journey starts with an exploration of Black Turtle Cove, a serene haven surrounded by mangroves and calm turquoise waters. We will navigate narrow channels by panga, where sea turtles, reef sharks, rays, and a variety of seabirds reside.

This protected ecosystem is a critical breeding ground for green turtles and a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.

Day 2: Genovesa, a Birdwatcher's Paradise

DARWIN BAY – AM

Wake up amidst one of the most remarkable seabird colonies on Genovesa Island. Darwin Bay provides a unique environment where frigatebirds, boobies, and gulls soar above the volcanic landscape.

During the walk, spot sea lions lounging on the beach, marine iguanas, and several endemic species of Darwin’s finches.

THE RAVINE - PM

In the afternoon, we explore El Barranco, renowned for its dramatic lava cliffs and abundant wildlife. This area hosts colonies of seabirds and great horned owls that hunt amidst the volcanic crevices.

In the rocky areas, you can also observe fur seals resting by the sea.

Day 3: Volcanic Landscapes and Galapagos Penguins

SULLIVAN BAY – AM

Discover one of the most pristine lava fields in Sullivan Bay and learn about the volcanic origins of the Galápagos Islands. We’ll walk over pahoehoe lava formations, observing life’s extraordinary adaptations in this extreme environment.

Penguins, pelicans, and Galapagos hawks are often seen along the coastline.

BARTOLOMÉ - PM

In the afternoon, we ascend to Bartolomé Island, renowned for offering one of the most breathtaking panoramic vistas in the archipelago.

From the summit, admire the iconic Pinnacle Rock, volcanic cones, and the crystal-clear waters inhabited by penguins and vibrant tropical fish.

Day 4: Sea Lion Colonies on Volcanic Isles

CHINESE HAT - AM

Explore the small islet of Chinese Hat, noted for its perfect volcanic shape and coral sand beaches encircled by turquoise waters.

This is an ideal spot to observe Galapagos penguins and sea lions in their natural setting.

MOSQUE – PM

Our journey continues to Mosquera Islet, home to a thriving sea lion colony. Its pristine white sand beaches and clear waters offer the perfect backdrop to relax and enjoy the local wildlife.

Here, you can also spot lava gulls and various coastal birds.

Day 5: Charles Darwin Research Station. Expedition Concludes.

CHARLES DARWIN STATION – AM

Conclude your experience with a visit to the esteemed Charles Darwin Research Station, dedicated to conserving and protecting Galapagos endemic species.

Learn about giant tortoise breeding programs and the crucial efforts to preserve the archipelago's ecosystem.

TRANSFER TO BALTRA AIRPORT – PM

At the designated time, we will transport you to Baltra Airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador.
