The Galápagos Islands are a year-round destination. Warm/Rainy Season (Dec–May): Calmer seas, warmer waters, and clear skies—ideal for relaxing on the beach and snorkeling. Dry Season (Jun–Nov): The Humboldt Current cools the sea, improving marine life and productivity (mantas, sharks, and birds in courtship), although there may be more swells. Average temperatures are 20–30°C (68–86°F). Underwater visibility varies by island and time of year. If you are prone to seasickness, choose a lower-deck cabin and consider taking medication. To ensure availability and a good tour price during peak season (holidays/holidays), book in advance and compare dates and promotions.
